This paper described the forms of oil casing defects and their detection method, and focused on the principle of magnetic flux leakage testing of oil casing and oil pipes, and magnetic flux leakage testing standards, analyzed influencing factors of automatic magnetic flux leakage detection device and the relevant countermeasures and prospected casing magnetic flux leakage detection.
