Fundamental Role of College English Teaching for Medical English Learning

医学专业学生学习英语的目的是能够使用英语学习、了解更多的医学知识、表达自己的专业发现、进行学术交流。为了达到这一目的,在大学英语阶段就应该着重提高学生的英语阅读和写作能力,增加学生的词汇量,缩小大学英语要求与医学专业英语学习目的之间的差距,为学生的下一步医学专业英语的学习和未来在医疗工作中的研究和应用做好准备。

For medical students,learning English is to learn and understand more about medical knowledge; express their own academic discoveries and conduct academic exchanges in English,that is,the students are required to have higher English reading and writing ability. To this end,the improvement of students＇ English reading and writing ability should be emphasized during the college English teaching period,in order to increase students＇ vocabulary,narrow the gap between college English requirements and learning goals of medical English,establish the foundation for their further study in medical English and prepare for research and application in their medical work in future.
