摘要
本文在细读《那古老的科德角魔法》的基础上,分析拉索对现实主义、现代主义和后现代主义创作手法的兼收并蓄,认为拉索将它们有机糅合在一起,达到一种艺术的平衡。拉索成功地把握了真实与虚构之间的张力,将传统现实主义的外部真实与现代主义的心理真实巧妙结合,塑造出层次丰富的人物形象,并运用意识流、魔幻现实主义和并置等创作手法,在虚构世界中构建起时间和空间的迷宫。
This essay discusses the integration of realist, modernist, and post- modernist devices and techniques in Richard Russo＇s That Old Cape Magic. By juxta- posing the three approaches, Russo creates an indispensable tension between reality and fiction while combining traditional realism with modern psychological realism in charac- terization. With this novel Russo constructs a labyrinth of time and space and achieves a delicate balance between conflicting aDoroaches.
