构式语法认为,语言的意义是由词汇义和语法构式相互作用生成的。当一个动词用于特定的结构中时,构式义和词汇义可能一致,或冲突。两者一致时,语义合格;两者冲突时,则通过压制,构式可以赋予动词新的含义而生成合格的语句。因此,构式意义对动词的意义影响很大,可以使动词产生新的用法。

According to construction grammar, the meaning of language expression comes out from the fusion of verb meaning and constructional meaning. When a verb is used in a specific construction, the meaning of construction may be consistent of the meaning of verb meaning, then the meaning of language expression can be understood. The paper argues that verb meaning is coerced by constructional meaning when they conflict with each other. Therefor, the meaning of construction has a great influence on the verb meaning.
