国学保存会与清末乡土教科书之编撰

Sinology Preservation Institute and Local Textbook Compilation in Late Qing Dynasty

20世纪初,一些先进分子发起成立"国学保存会",以"发明国学,保存国粹"为宗旨。开展乡土教育与编撰乡土教材,是保存国粹的途径之一。"国学保存会"按照《奏定学堂章程》中关于乡土内容的规定,开展乡土教科书编撰的理论与实践探索,先后编辑出版了系列乡土地理、历史、格致等教科书。这批教科书具有鲜明的时代特征,激扬着"由乡及国"的爱国情怀,在清末乡土教科书中独树一帜。

In the early 1900s, the advanced elements initiated the establishment of Sinology Preservation Institute in Late Qing Dynasty, and the launch of Sinology Journal with the aim of ＂highlight Sinology, save quintessence＂ to spread the ＂patriotic, ethnic preservation, academic preservation＂ thought. Local Education and preparation for its materials is one way to save the quintessence. Sinology Preservation Institute made that preparation both in theory and practice in accordance with corresponding rule, and has edited and published a series of local geography, history, Gezhi and other textbooks. These textbooks have distinctive characteristics of the times, boosting the patriotism, carrying local knowledge, attached to the local culture, and strive to meet the needs of teaching, to be adapted for children, and also joined the radical ideology of racism. The content of them is unique in Late Qing Dynasty.
