The Freedom and Responsibility of Modern Arts——Thoughts on Hans Küng's Art and the Question of Meaning

现代艺术产生出光怪陆离的艺术品,让人疑惑不解,甚至怀疑现代艺术的整体意义和价值。汉斯·昆以神学家的身份,对现代艺术创作的意义问题进行了伦理和神学解读。本文通过评析汉斯·昆《艺术与意义问题》一文,阐释在当下的艺术语境中艺术家和观众如何建立有效的沟通和共识,追问现代艺术的伦理基础和限度,尝试理解现代艺术的意义和价值如何可能。

Modern art produces various weird products, confusing and scaring the audience, who may thus wonder the meaning and value of modern art. As a theologian, Hans K＆#252;ng questioned the meaning of modern art and gave his views by ethics and theology. Giving thoughts on Hans K＆#252;ng’ s Art and the Question of Meaning, my article explained how the artists and audience communicate with each other and reach a common perspective. Furthermore, I will question on the moral base and limit of modern art, and give a possible apprehension on the meaning and value of modern art.
