Baldwin＇s If Beale Street Could Talk is an excellent novel on stating the common experience of the black and exploring the post-humanitarianism value of human. The paper aims to discuss the change of the black humanity with the development of society as well as the raising of the black national consciousness from the perspective of post-humanitarianism. Therefore, the humanity value tendency and post-humanitarianism of the contemporary black will be traced.
