CD24和CD44在非小细胞肺癌中的表达和意义

Clinical significance of CD24 and CD44 expression in tumor infiltrating tissue of patients with non-small cell lung cancer

摘要 目的分析CD24和CD44在非小细胞肺癌组织中的分布,分析二者与非小细胞肺癌的关系。方法利用免疫组化法检测非小细胞肺癌13例癌旁组织与81例癌组织中CD24和CD44的表达。结果①在癌旁组织中CD24高表达,CD44则不表达;②51例(63%)患者癌组织中CD24表达阳性,55例(68%)CD44表达阳性,不同病理类型二者差异无统计学意义;③在非小细胞肺癌中,二者分布与病情相关。随肿瘤分化程度降低和临床分期升高CD24低表达者增多(P<0.05),肺腺癌中CD44分布规律与CD24相同,但肺鳞癌中CD44高表达者增多(P<0.05);④CD24与CD44在肺鳞癌中的表达呈负相关(P<0.05)。结论 CD24和CD44与非小细胞肺癌的发生、发展有关,为提高患者生存率和生活质量提供新的治疗靶点。 Objective Cancer stem cells (CSC)are key mediator in initiation, propagation and maintenance of Non - Small Cell Lung Cancer(NSCLC). CD24 and CD44 are considered as potent CSC's marker in NSCLC. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinicopathological significance of CD24 and CD44 in tumor tissue of patients with NSCLC. Methods Surgically resected 81 Paraffin embedded tumor tissue and 13 peritumor tissues of patients with NSCLC were included in the study. Immunohistochemistry was used to study the expression of CD24 and C1344 in the tissue. The clinicopathologieal parameters were obtained retrospectively. Results No expression of CIM4 was observed in peritumor tissue, but expression of CD24 was observed in peritumor tissue (7/13)and the expression was highly positive. In NSCLC tissues,CD24 and CD44 were expressed in 51 cases (63%)and 55 cases(68% )respectively but no significant differ- ences were observed among different histological types. Low CD24 expression was significantly associated with higher TNM staging and lower degree of differentiation in both histological types. Similarly, not low but high CD44 expression was observed with higher TNM staging and lower degree of differentiation in squamous cell NSCLC. In Adenoearcinoma NSCLC higher TNM staging and lower differentiation was associated with low expression of CD44. Significant relationship of Low CD24 and high CD44 expression was observed in squamous cell NSCLC variety (P 〈 0. 05 ). Conclusion The study suggests that CD24 and CD44 are associated with the occurrence and development of NSCLC which could be a pre- dictor of poor outcome.
