Breeding of a New Hybrid Hot Pepper Variety——Chuanganxiang 1

川干香1号是以辣椒胞质雄性不育系E4A为母本、恢复系色17-2为父本配制而成的早中熟辣椒一代杂种.果实羊角形,纵径10 cm,横径1.1 cm,平均单果质量5 g.青熟果绿色,老熟果鲜红色,辣味香浓.每667 m2产鲜红椒2 000 ～2 500 kg,或干椒400 ～ 500 kg.抗TMV、CMV和疫病,适宜全国各地早春露地和保护地栽培.

Chuanganxiang 1 is an early mid-mature hot pepper FI hybrid bred by crossing a cytoplasm male sterile line E4A with a restorer line se17-2. It grows cone-shaped fruit from green to bright red, 11 cm in length, 1.1 cm in diameter, and 5 g per fruit with hot and fragrant taste. It yields 30-37.5 t fresh red fruit per hm2, or 6-7.5 t dehydrated fruit per hm2. It is resistant to TMV,CMV and phytophthora capsici. And it could be grown in both open and protected field in early spring.
