Jay Siegel joined Tianjin University in 2013 as Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology. 'I gave a lecture at Tianjin University in 2010, and learned that it is the f irst university in China. It was founded in 1895 named Peiyang University and had foreign teachers and was modeled after American universities at that time. I hope to bring more freedom and spirit of adventure to the school, as this is the way of acdamic pursuit. '
