摘要
本研究调查了普通本科院校大学生对通用英语课程和学术英语课程的三类需求(即需要、愿望和欠缺)的情况,以及选修课程的原因。通过对186名非英语专业大学生进行问卷调查,发现普通本科院校大学生不仅在不同课程,而且一门课程的不同语言技能学习上都存在不同的需求,实际课程选择与学生需求观念并不一致,课程选择更多地受需要以及长期和短期目标影响。研究结果对大学英语教师和课程设计者具有一定的启示意义。
This study Courses and Academic investigates various needs of students in general colleges English Courses, and reasons for their course selection and universities for General English The data were collected by adminis- tering questionnaires to 186 non-English majors. It is found that students have different perceptions of necessities, wants, and lacks in the two kinds of courses and even in various language skills of one course. The findings also demonstrate that students' actual selection of English courses is not consistent with their need perceptions. Course selection is more influenced by necessities, as well as short-term and long-term goals.
