A Brief Analysis of the present American Econmic situation

美国这次经济衰退仍是资本主义社会基本矛盾的具体表现,但又有与往常不同的特征.这次衰退尽管会使美国的贸易保护主义加强,但可能不如前剧烈,持续时间也不会长;对亚太地区经济将有影响,但不很大;我国受害程度虽轻微,亦应审时度势,采取必要的措施.

The recent omen of economic recession in the U.S. manifests the basic contradiction in the capitalist society, yet with features different from that in the past. Although U.S. protectionism will inerease, it can never be as strenuous as before and the duration will not be long. Its negative impact upon the Pacific-Asian region, though some, is not likely to be immense. Suffering the trifling harm from it, our country should judge the hour and sieze the situation to meet the challenge and to reduce the losses to the smallest extent.
