摘要
旅游景区的公示语是一种特殊的文体,其翻译是一种跨文化交际活动。不同文化所造成的思维差异和误解使公示语翻译失误频出,译者应具备跨文化交际意识,充分了解译入语受众的文化心理,使公示语译文符合译入语的文化传统和表达习惯,在有效地保留源语文化信息的基础上准确、有效地体现公示语翻译的应用功能。本文从跨文化交际的角度就杭州新景区的某些公示语误译或不规范翻译进行分析和探讨,并提出RIB(Respect-Innovation-Borrow Approach)的解决策略。
Being a special form of language, public signs translation is a kind of intercultural communication. Failures in public signs translation are found in many cases partly due to misunderstanding or ignorance of cultural differences. Therefore, transla- tors need to have an intercultural awareness and sensitivity to target audience' s cultural psychology so that the messages can be conveyed in a more accurate and appropriate manner, thus meeting the goal of intercultural communication. This paper analyzes the translation errors in Hangzhou new scenic areas from the perspective of intercultural communication, and then puts forward the RIB approach( Respect- Innovation- Borrow Approach) as a solution.
