Integration through Separation:Fracture Strategy in the Design of Wuhai Youth Creative Industry Park

乌海市青少年创意产业园在理解既有建筑遗存的价值和顺应地方建造适宜工法的前提下,走出了一条粗粮细作的绿色设计路线。解读了建筑师在该设计中以分为合的"裂隙策略"及其在新旧组合、空间塑造和界面交接中所展现的不同演绎形式,继而简要探讨了这项设计在吸收西方现代空间理念和中国传统建造智慧基础上融汇创新的启示意义。

On the premise of understanding the value of existing old building and conforming to the local construction, the design of Wuhai Youth Creative Industry Park tries to explore a new way of green design. This paper analyses the Fracture Strategy in the design which seems to separate but integrate, revealing its different forms in the relationship between the new and the old, the composition of interior space and the interface of different materials. Then, it discusses the inspiration from the design innovation which is based on absorbing and compromising Western modern spatial notion and Chinese traditional construction wisdom.
