Study on Cathodic Protection of a Long-Distance Water Transmission Pipeline in Xinjiang

针对新疆某长距离输水管线途经沙漠边缘段、沙漠段、剥蚀冲洪积平原区段,工程地质与水文地质情况复杂的情况,为保障输水管道长久安全运行,根据阴极保护国家标准要求和国内外管道运行维护经验,采取阴极保护措施对输水管线进行防腐处理,是减缓或停止对管道造成腐蚀破坏的有效途径。

The cathodic protection is applied for corrosion protection of the water transmission pipeline in accordance with the national standard on cathodic protection and experience on the pipeline operation and maintenance at home and abroad so as to assure the long-term and safety operation of the pipeline because the long-distance water transmission pipeline passes the desert edge, desert and the denudated alluvial-proluvial plain, the engineering and hydrological geological conditions are complicated along it.So, the cathodic protection is one effective means to stopor mitigate the corrosion failure of the pipeline.
