Legal Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Traditional National Sports in China

The article analyzes the threats faced by traditional national sports in China in their preservation and de-velopment,the status of their preservation and existing problems. It then expounds on ways to protect intangible cul-tural heritage of traditional Chinese sports,and obligations that the government should fulfill in laying down and per-fecting supporting regulations that go with the Intangible Cultural Heritage Law. It also discusses the rational devel-opment and utilization of the intangible cultural heritage of traditional national sports and problems revolving around managing and protecting the inheritors.
