On Modern Linguistics and the Design of CAI for Foreign Language Teaching

语言学理论贯穿于整个多媒体辅助外语教学的过程之中。语言学是教学大纲制订、教材设计的依据。语言学是语言教学的资源和背景。媒体技术是辅助教学最优化的技术保证。CAI外语教学软件的设计应当以语言学、语言习得理论、外语教学理论、教学设计理论、人工智能为主要依据，构建在现代信息技术之上。本文就此展开了讨论。

Linguistics directs all processes of multimedia assisted foreign language teaching. Linguistics is the foundation of design in teaching syllabus and textbooks. Linguistics is the language teaching resources and background. Multimedia technology is the technical guarantee of the assistant of teaching for best optimization. Therefore, the software design of CAI for foreign language teaching should be based on modern information technology, mainly according to linguistics, theory of language acquisition, and of foreign language teaching, artificial intelligence as well. All of these concernings are discussed in the lecture.
