This paper analyzes the embodiments of America＇ s image in Yu Lihua＇s works, and tries to find out the roots of all these phenomena from lonely island, lost ideals, interpersonal indifference and severe racial discrimination. The identity crisis caused by separation and the special status of marginalized people are the major factors influencing the reshaped America image by the writer.
