As a representative of classic revolutionary works, the novel The Red Flag has a great influence even to the modem society. The thesis propose the following three reasons： firstly, it takes 23 years from preparation to generation. The writer shows his huge accumulation of experience so that his work could approve the far-reaching influence. The long-time novel creation differs his work from other works. Secondly, The writer studies a vast expense of the ＂4th May Youth Revolution＂ literature and foreign literature especially Soviet revolutionary literature. Thirdly, the novel The Red Flag maintains a balance between construction of revolutionary history and aesthetic construction due to the particularity of creation and the support of cultural background. The novel still remains a great charm to all the audience.
