回顾与反思:近二十年来城市治理研究的文献评估(1992-2012)

Review and Reflection: Literature Review of Urban Governance Research in Recent 20 Years( 1992-2012)

论文旨在对近二十年来发表于主要核心期刊上的有关城市治理研究的文献进行简单的量化评估,以此来考察该领域的研究现状。评估发现,虽然近二十年来,研究者对中国城市正在发生的一些变化有所回应,相关研究的数量和质量上也都有所改进,但相关的研究还存在着问题意识不明晰,缺乏学科之间的对话与知识整合;规范研究比重偏大,实证研究比例有待提高;研究方法的运用还不够熟练,资料收集的广度和深度严重不足;研究的规范性有待提高,城市治理领域的知识需要不断的累积;城市治理研究议题的关注面太窄,对更多的重大城市议题回应不足等问题。

Using a quantitative analysis of major journal publications during the past twenty years, this article attempts to provide an evaluation of the state of city governance. It finds that the researchers respond to some undergoing changes of the Chinese cities in the past twenty years, and the number of related researches and quality are improved. However, in these researches, there exist some problems. Research questions are not clear. The dialogue between disciplines and knowledge integration is lacking. The proportion of non-empirical researches is much bigger than empirical researches. The use of research methods is not skilled enough. The breadth and depth of data collection is seriously insufficient. The standardization of the research needs to improve. The knowledge in the field of city governance needs to be constantly accumulated. The urban governance research issues are too narrow, and the more serious urban issues are responded insufficiently.
