Disappearance of Women: an Interpretation of Female Images in A Chair in the Winding Corridor

在《回廊之椅》中作者林白通过男性、女性和自我意识这三类大群体共同建构了朱凉这个女性附庸者的形象,表现了女性在选择时的犹疑与不确定性,同时也证明了男权社会的不可推翻性。由此认为,在男权社会中,女性除了跟随着男性的步伐消失以外,别无他路。

In A Chair in the Winding Corridor,the author Lin Bai presents a dependent female image Zhu Liang among three groups of characters consisting respectively of male, female and self-consciousness, manifests the hesitation and uncertainty of women in their choosing behavior and proves that the patriarchal society cannot be overthrown. It is believed that in a patriarchal society women have no way to go but to follow the pace of men and eventually get disappeared.
