摘要
二语交际意愿是二语习得领域重要的学习者个体差异因素,在过去近20年间,二语交际意愿的理论和实证研究取得了巨大的发展。交际意愿的重要性在于直接带来语言交际行为,较高的交际意愿能够激发学习者参与各种语言实践,使有限的课堂教学向无限的课外学习延伸,从而有助于语言习得。现阶段有必要回顾和梳理二语交际意愿理论和实证研究的成果与方法,反思不足,展望未来研究的方向,这对我国本土的二语交际意愿研究和外语教学有重要意义。
Willingness to communicate in second language(L2 WTC) is an important individual difference variable in second language acquisition. The past nearly-twenty years have witnessed significant achievement in the theoretical and empirical research in L2 WTC. The concept of L2 WTC is important in that it directly predicts L2 communication. High levels of L2 WTC may propel students to engage in various opportunities for language use, which extends learning beyond the classroom and thus facilitates language acquisition. Currently it is necessary to review the theories of L2 WTC and its research methodology and findings and to propose future research prospects. This is of great importance to the L2 WTC research and foreign language teaching in China.
