On the Modernity of Yan Geling's Adam, also Eve

Yan Geling＇s short story Adam, also Eve depicts a special group of people in a new perspective. Modernity is reflected in selecting character, choosing topic, psychological description and the use of figures of speech. Yan Geling draws a lot of attention to the description of homosexuality, divorced women, and disabled children because of humanistic concern. She mixes the eastern culture and western cultures together, reflecting a concern for the vulnerable group and has a strong modern consciousness.
