The updated version of Chronicle materials about Chinese history of historiography （Qing Dynasty） not only succeeded the advantages of Mr. Yang Yixiang＇ s Chronicle materials about Chinese history of historiography, but also showed a lot of new features. This volume collected almost all the essence of historical achievement, presents a clear thread of the Qing historiography, and the pur- pose of facilitating scholars runs through the whole book. The book emphasized absorbing the latest academic fruits, put forward many academic views of their own, thus having high academic value. However, there is some room for improvement in choreography style and textual emendation.
