This paper introduces and comments on some of the topics recurring in Dong Qiao＇s articles on Chinese scholars expert in Chinese and English, translation in Dong Qiao＇s eyes, language ability building-up, and classic Chinese and vernacular Chinese, wishing to point out the ever-lasting significance of Dong Qiao in emphasizing and cherishing language and culture.
