Between Scholarship and Reality: on the Rereading of Hume

在现实中,一些人在利用休谟哲学攻击马克思主义哲学;与之相关,在理论上也出现了一些对休谟哲学性质的误解。因此,重读休谟的必要性一是在于现实斗争的需要,二是在于休谟研究中的某些容易引起误解的问题。重读休谟,不能忽略它和现实问题的联系,但也不能因此就将其简单地还原为一个"站队"问题,仍然应该吸收休谟作为哲学家的各种优长,全面清理他在唯物唯心之争、怀疑主义立场以及道德哲学上的理论资源。

Hume＇s philosophy is often applied to criticizing reality,which is a misunderstanding of Hume＇s philosophy. The huge gap between research and reality makes rereading of Hume very necessary. The necessity of rereading Hume,therefore,requires proper understanding of reality,and lies in clarifying the points easily misunderstood. To properly reread Hume,the relationship between it and reality cannot be ignored,nor should it be simply considered as ＂ position＂,rather,the theoretic resources offered by Hume on the controversy between materialism and idealism, skepticism and moral philosophy still need to be carefully explored.
