精读课是英语专业核心课程,教师应在精读课教学中进行适当的文化渗透,以期提高学生的跨文化交际能力。结合几年来教学实践的体会就英语专业精读课中文化渗透的必要性、原则和方法进行分析,提出精读课教学中进行文化渗透应遵循的相关性原则和适度性原则。教师可以结合精读课文中的词汇、习语和文化背景对学生进行文化渗透,做到有的放矢。

It is stipulated in the English Teaching Syllabus for English Majors that importance should be attached to the improvement of students＇ cross - cultural communication competence. Cultural infiltration is essential for the teaching of intensive reading course for English majors. This paper explores the necessity, principles and methods of cultural infiltration in the teaching of intensive reading course for English majors. Cultural infiltration in the teaching of Intensive Reading Course should follow relevance principle and moderation principle. Cultural infiltration can be combined with the study of words and idioms and the introduction to cultural background.
