On March 4, 2014, the U.S. Department of Defense submitted to Congress the 2014 edition of Quadrennial Defense Review and Fiscal Year 2015 Defense Budget Report. Quadrennial Defense Review updates the rebalancing strategy, indicates for the U.S. military the priority of development, requires the U.S. forces to transform to a ＂more compact＂ force to meet the needs of future military action.
