Development of ERMS and Its Future

从四个阶段分析国外电子资源管理系统的发展历程:起步阶段,大学图书馆自主研发ERMS;标准研究阶段以ERMI项目为标志,建立电子资源管理标准的雏形;繁荣发展阶段,商业性ERMS占市场主导地位,开源ERMS开始兴起,图书馆积极实施ERMS,标准不断完善;下一代新系统发展阶段,新系统的出现带来新机遇,电子资源管理标准体系基本形成。同时分析ERMS在我国的发展情况,并指出未来ERMS将与图书馆集成系统融合,合作建设知识库成为ERMS的一种新选择。

This article describes four development stages of ERMS in foreign countries. At the stage of start-up, university libraries developed local ERMS. At the stage of standards development, the ERMI es- tablished the proto type of ERMS standards. At the stage of prosperity, commercial ERMS dominated the marketplace. Meanwhile, the locally developed ERMS declined, and the open source ERMS began to e- merge. The libraries actively implemented ERMS, while the standards had been further improved. At the last stage, next-generation ILS emerged, and the system of ERMS standards was basically formed. The current status of ERMS in China has also been analyzed. Future ERMS will be integrated into the new li- brary services platforms. Cooperation in the development of knowledgebase will become a new choice of ERMS.
