Distribution automation facilitates the realization of the first-class distribution network

配电自动化（Distribution Automation, DA）能够改变配电网“盲管”现象、提高供电质量与运行效率、实现分布式电源的大量接入与集成，是建设智能配电网的关键支撑内容。为提高供电质量、解决分布式电源接入问题，国家电网公司将配电网建设作为当务之急，提出建设国际一流配电网，大城市核心区供电可靠率达到5个9（99.999%）；南方电网公司也开展与国际同行对标的活动，提出了供电可靠性赶超国际先进水平的努力目标。供电可靠率要达到5个9，必须在构建合理的网架结构、采用状态检修与不停电作业等先进技术的基础上建设DA系统，让配电网智能、灵活、主动起来，实现配电网的优化运行。建设一流配电网， DA具有“画龙点睛”之功效，为此，国家电网公司与南方电网公司都十分重视DA工作，国家电网公司还专门成立了副总经理挂帅的领导小组推动DA的建设与应用，DA迎来了新的发展机遇！

Distribution Automation(DA)could change the fact of 'blind control' of distribution network,improve the quality of power supply and operation efficiency,and realize large scale integration of distributed power resources.It is the crucial support for the construction of smart distribution network.In order to improve the quality of power supply and solve the integration challenges of distributed power resources.State Grid Corporation of China takes the construction of distribution network as the highest priority,and the goal of the construction of the international first-class distribution network has been set.China Southern Power Grid Corporation Limited also undertakes activities countering with international counterparts,and the goal that tries to improve the reliability of power supply to catch up with and surpass world advanced level has been set as well.The editorial department of DISTRIBUTION & UTILIZATION follows the development trends of distribution technologies in China,and promptly decides to organize a 'Distribution Automation Special Issuc' according to the situation and demand of DA development in China.More than 40 authors including IEEE Fellow Christoph Brunner(the convener of IEC TC57 IEC 61850 standard group),and senior experts in distribution field of China such as Liu Dong,Zhao Jianghe,Ren Yanming,Liu Jian and Zheng Yi are invited to write papers in terms of technical development and application,technical standard,planning and design,applied technologies such as master station,terminal and communication,and engineering construction as well as practices of operation and maintenance of DA.Those papers introduce domestic and international development trends of DA.discuss the key technologies of DA and their applications,and summarize experience of technical development and engineering application of DA in China.It is believed that this special issue can definitely promote the information exchange of DA technology,and promote the improvement of DA technology and application level in China.
