Pragmatic Function of Deisi Question in Guanzhong Dialect

"得是"问句是关中方言中的是非问句,在语义上,"得是"问句分为三种情形:第一,表示反诘,语义居中,没有明显的肯定或否定趋势。第二,表示说话人故意曲解对方的语义,语义倾向于否定。第三,表示主观推断,语义倾向于肯定。语用上,"得是"问句有四种类型,分别是求证式、推断式、求同式、反预期式,不同的类型分别对应着不同的语用目的。

Deisi question is the “yes-or-no” question in Guanzhong dialect. Semantically, there are three kinds of “yes-or-no” question which shows different meanings such as affirmation, negation and rhetorical question. Pragmatically, “yes-or-no” question can be divided into four different types of functions which suggest such respective meanings as confirmation, inference, agreement and unexpectedness.
