A Research on Shanwei's Cultural Relics and Historic Sites

汕尾历史悠久,人文荟萃,留下了众多的文物古迹。现存汕尾文物古迹主要包括古人类文化遗址、古道遗址、宗教文化遗址、海防遗址、石刻冢墓遗址和红色文化遗址,体现出当地源远流长的发展历史、连贯东西的交通环境、镇海卫疆的军政地位、多教共融的宗教文化、表忠彰义与红色革命的优良传统。考略汕尾文物古迹既是保护这些文物古迹之需,也是促进汕尾旅游事业发展之需。

Shanwei,a city with historic and cultural blend,has left us a large number of cultural relics and historic sites. The existing heritage sites in Shanwei mainly include the ruins of ancient human cultures,the trail sites,religious and cultural sites,coastal ruins, burial tomb site of carved stone and Red Cultural sites,reflecting the long history of the development of local history,coherent traffic environment,military and political status of defending the borders,the syncretism of multiple religion cultures,fine tradition for praising loyalty,justice and red revolution. Working on such a research on Shanwei＇s cultural relics and historic sites is a need both to protect these cultural relics and to promote the development of tourism industry in Shanwei.
