Missed Nursing Care

Introduction Ensuring quality nursing care and patient safety is a major challenge facing nurses and nurse leaders today. Worldwide, there is a recognition that patient errors occur with regularity. Patient errors can be either an act of commission （doing something wrong such as administering an incorrect medication） or an act of omission （failing to do the right thing such as not ambulating a patient as needed） that leads to an adverse outcome or has significant potential for such an outcome.
