After 600 years of historical evolution, Yangzhou Qingqu, the most typical and regional melody in Jiangsu Province and one of China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage, has formed its own artistic features of country life with extensive themes, rich lyrics and harmonious tunes. For better transmission of this heritage, this paper endeavors to ex-plore the objective law of its transmission, to find the balance between inheritance and innovation, to promote the devel-opment and prosperity, and to enhance its influence at home and abroad.
