Relations Between Local Officials and Folk Beliefs ——Focused on the Fox Spirit Worship in Fujian

在中国传统社会,官员与民间信仰之间存在着复杂的关系。本文通过梳理地方志、笔记小说等文献的记载,考察清朝福建地区官员对于狐仙的奉祀情形,分析这一崇拜所蕴含的政治意义。

In the traditional Chinese society, there exists a complex relation between the officials and folk beliefs. By combing through the local records, the literary sketches and some other literature records, the author emphasizes the situation of local officials from Fujian worshipping the fox spirit. Besides, the author analyzes the political meaning of the worship.
