摘要
以安徽大学68名非英语专业大二本科生为受试对象,进行隐喻能力测试探讨性别变量与我国非英语专业学习者隐喻能力的相关性。研究发现,男女生受试者的隐喻能力发展水平都较低。两组受试者在隐喻的识别和产出方面差异较小,但在解释隐喻的能力方面差异较为显著。
It aimed at investing the relationship in the present research between gender and Chinese EFL learners′metaphorical competence .An MCT ( Metaphorical Competence Test ) was conducted among 68 sophomores of Anhui University .The results show that the metaphorical competence of both the male and female subjects has not been developed sufficiently .Besides,there exists no remarkable difference in the subjects′ability to identify and produce metaphors ,while the disparity of metaphor interpretation is signifi-cant.
