This paper is a preface of Chinese translation to The Structure of Salar Language written by 3 .P. Jaguar. The book was translated by Dr. Bai Ping. It analyses scientifically and carefully the phonetics, morphology, the structure of syntactic and the lexical formative of Salar. And the book summarizes Salar＇ s structure regulations, so it lays solid foundation for further study of Salar.
