This paper summarizes the symptoms, causes and treatment for the inactive hearth of TongGang No.7 blast furnace. Some measures are taken , such as adjusting the charging system, strengthening the raw material and fuel management, adjusting the distribution of tuyere and coal injection, purging the furnace, raising the level of hearth heat and strengthening production chain management. So tuyere damages are reduced and the furnace is in good condition. Some suggestions for the subsequent production are put forward.
