An Improved Extending Algorithm for Multi-edge-type LDPC Codes

摘要 码率自适应编码技术是为了充分利用移动通信中的频谱资源而出现的。现有的扩展算法尽管能够构造出码率范围很广的码率自适应扩展型多边类LDPC码,但是错误地板较高。对此,本文提出一种新的扩展算法——分级扩展算法,适用于任何多边类LDPC码且降低了错误地板。在AWGN信道下,仿真结果表明,所提出的算法较传统的扩展算法具有更好的性能。 Rate adaptive is required to make full use of spectrum resouRAEes of mobile communication. The existing extending algorithm can construct rate adaptive extending multi-edge-type LDPC(RAE-MET-LDPC)codes with great rate range. However, the error floor is higher. In this paper, a new grading extending algorithm is proposed to reduce the error floor. The algorithm can be applied to any multi-edge-type LDPC(MET-LDPC) codes. Simulation results over AWGN channels show that the proposed algorithm is superior to the tradition extending algorithm.
