抗战初期,国民政府组织了惨烈的南京保卫战。在此前后,不少作家参与书写此战的不同侧面。有作品描绘了战前南京军民城防、疏散的情景;有的则直接或间接表现国军的英勇奋战;还有作品控诉日寇暴行,讨论我方在此次战斗中的得失。作品内容不一而足,体裁也多种多样,包括散文、诗歌、战地报道等。南京保卫战之前后情形,通过文学作品生动呈现,历史也因之丰满。

at the beginning of anti-Japanese war, China＇s government organized the Battle of Defending Nanjing . some writers focused on war situation, showed the miserable and fierce Battle of Defending Nan- jing. there are some atrticles recorded heroic deeds on defending Nanjing of national army. some described the massacre of Japan＇s army on China＇s soldiers and residents after Nanjing fall, and deeply rethought the respon- sibility of national government on this tragic accident, the articles include prose poetry news report and so on. all of them vividly showed situations before and after the Battle of defending Nanjing.
