新疆高等教育对区域经济增长贡献率的实证分析

Contribution of Higher Education to Economic Increase in Xinjiang

该文根据柯布-道格拉斯生产函数模型,测算了新疆1999—2009年高等教育对经济增长的贡献率,并将结果与陕西省作了比较研究,发现新疆高等教育对经济增长的贡献较低,其主要原因在于新疆人力资本水平较低,高等教育结构不合理,高等教育发展脱离经济发展的实际需求。因此,新疆应该通过加大高等教育投入,优化高等教育结构,完善高等教育与区域经济发展的互动机制,才能进一步促进新疆高等教育事业的发展。

Based on the Cobb-Douglas production function, we calculate the contribution rate of higher education in Xinjiang to economic growth from 1999 to 2009 and compare with that of Shaanxi province. We find that higher education in Xinjiang contributes low to the economic growth, the main reason of which lies in the low level of human capital in Xinjiang as well as the unreasonable structure of higher education, and the development of higher education does not match the actual demand of economic development. Therefore, we should increase investment in higher education, optimize its structure and improve the interaction mechanism of higher education and regional economic development to promote the development of higher education in Xinjiang.
