咸水歌流传于广西北海等地,是疍家人在生产和生活中集体口头创作的民歌。它集中反映了疍家人历史足迹、生产生活以及民俗风习,是疍家人集体原生意识的呈现与延展。由于自然环境、时代历史、风俗习惯的原因,疍家人这种意识又积淀、发展表征出温婉柔和、朴拙率真、坚韧内敛的文化性格,从而在咸水歌的艺术特质上、疍家人精神文化上,显现为"海水精神"的辩证统一。

Saltwater song,popular in Beihai, Guangxi and other places, is a form of collective ver bal folk song created by Danjia boat dwellers in their labor and life. As a presentation and extension of native consciousness collectively shared by Danjia boat dwellers, saltwater song reflects Danjia boat dwellers＇ historical trails, production and living, and folklore. Due to the natural environment, histo ry and customs, Danjia boat dwellers＇ awareness also presents gentle, frank, and tender characteris tics. Thus, in the aspects of saltwater song＇s artistic quality and Danjia boat dwellers＇ spiritual cul ture, saltwater songs reflect highly dialectical unity of ＂spirit of seawater＂.
