士大夫精神是中国传统文化独有的社会现象,这一群体的存在,其目的是为了维护社会的公平正义,使中国精神命脉得以传承。士大夫用手中的笔去记录事件,还历史一个公正清白,以其刚正不阿的性格去监督限制皇权的滥用。鲁迅凭借犀利之笔,直指社会病灶痛处,对中国人的劣根性进行了无情批判。在鲁迅身上折射出的社会责任感正是鲁迅对中国士大夫精神的传承。

In Chinese traditional culture, a unique social phenomenon is the scholar-bureaucrat spirit. The existence of this special group aims to safeguard social fairness and justice, and it is this group of people that makes the Chinese spirit pass on unceasingly. The scholars and bureaucrats kept the records of happenings which reflected truely the real story of history. They also kept a close watch on the misuse of imperial power with integrity and uprightness. Lu Xun, with his pen, sharply criticized the social problems and weak points, exposing straightforwardly Chinese deeply-rooted bad habits. There-fore, the strong sense of duty reflected by Lu Xun is just his inheritance of the literati spirit.
