标题是新闻的重中之重,为了在最短的时间内突出新闻的重点,引发读者阅读的冲动,新闻编纂者往往会在标题上下大力气,采用一些特殊的表现手法。前景化作为一种重要的文体理论,正越来越多地被用在新闻标题的写作中。因此对于英语新闻阅读者而言读懂新闻标题的首要任务就是了解英语新闻标题的前景化化特征,进而加深对新闻标题文体特征的了解,在最短时间内读懂新闻标题。文章就英语新闻标题的前景化特征进行分析,旨在提高新闻读者的阅读效率。
News headlines are the priority to the news. In order to highlight the news and draw the readers＇ attention,news writers tend to pay more efforts in headline writing and adopt some innovative ways. As an important theory in stylistics,foregrounding is more and more applying to the headline writing. As a result,news readers should give priority to the foregrounding feature of news headlines. This article will talk about the foregrounding features of news headlines and improve the efficiency news reading.
