Correct design and use of a syllabus in a classroom can obviously promote the class-room teaching quality. A syllabus not only may serve as a communication media between the teacherand the students, and it may also function as a＂contract＂which can produce bondage effects to boththe teacher and the students so that they will complete their teaching and learning tasks according tothe syllabus. Experimental teaching indicates that the＂contract＂effect indeed exists where a syllabusis properly designed and correctly used in a classroom.
