The role of matrix metalloproteinases in vascular inflammation

摘要 基质金属蛋白酶(matrix metalloproteinase,MMP)由多种细胞分泌,具有降解细胞外基质的作用.根据其底物的特异性,可将MMP分为5类:胶原酶、明胶酶、基质水解酶类、膜型基质金属蛋白酶类及其他.不同的种类分别有不同亚型.MMP参与肿瘤浸润与转移、血管新生、心血管疾病等病理生理过程.有大量研究发现MMP在血管炎症的发生与发展中发挥重要作用. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), which are secreted by a variety of cell types, have the function of degrading extracellular matrix. Based on the substrate specificity, MMP can be assigned to five sub- groups :interstitial collagenases, gelatinases, stromelysins, membrane-type MMP and others. MMP have been im- plicated in the pathophysiologic processes of tumor invasion and metastasis, angiogenesis, cardiovascular disease, etc. And emerging evidences have shown that MMP play important roles in vascular inflammation.
