A Summary of Qian Tianhe's Thought on Agricultural Development

通过解读《钱天鹤文集》,发现作为中国近代较早接受西方农学教育的钱天鹤对中国农业问题有着较为深入的思考,形成了丰富的农业思想。钱天鹤主张引入现代科技手段振兴中国蚕丝业,强调将农业增产作为解决中国农民生活困苦的第一要务,重视农业与工业之间的协调发展,这些观点在抗日战争时期以及后来对台湾农业的发展都发挥了重要作用。

As a Chinese of modern times who received western agriculture education rather early,Qian Tianhe＇ s considerations on China＇s agricultural problems is rather complete and his personal anthology is rich in constructive ideas on agricultural development of China. In the anthology,he advocated introducing modern technologies into China to revitalize silk industry,emphasized the increase of agriculture yield as a top priority to relieve the hardships of Chinese peasants,and valued the coordinated development between agriculture and industry. These ideas had played an important role in agricultural development of China's Mainland during the anti-Japanese War mainland and the post-war agricultural development in Taiwan.
