Comparing to traditional summative evaluation, formative evaluation emphasizes on learning feedback and guidance in the education. The reform of grading policy in Electrical Engineering course is based on formative eval- uation. This paper introduces the means and methods of the reform, analyzes the essential and effect of the reform. The reform not only greatly stimulates the students＂ interest in learning, but also effectively improves the teaching quality in the course.
