China's economy continued its slowdown in the first quarter. Although it has shown signs of stabilizing since March, downward pressure still looms and some difficulties cannot be underestimated. In order to keep the economy operating within a rational range, a State Council meeting on April 30, chaired by Premier Li Keqiang, re-emphasized three key measures, among which primary attention was attached to supporting the steady growth of foreign trade and optimizing its structure.
