摘要
我们今天的城市规划和城市设计,许多是以"提升城市形象"为目标和取向的,过度重视"仪式性"和"标志性",而对于比这些东西远为重要的城市运转机制这样的问题却不予关心,对城市与人们日常生活需求的关系问题,很少深入考虑。文章介绍了雅各布斯等人对城市的思考,对我国当下的城市规划进行了反思。作者呼吁,规划和设计城市,实际上就是在规划和设计公众的生活,所以我们必须以对生命和生活的敬畏之心去面对和理解城市中的一切。
Nowadays, most of urban planning and urban design is targeted to＂promote city image＂, overemphasizing＂rituality＂and＂landmark＂regard-less of more important issues like city operating mechanism and the relation between city and people＆#39;s living requirements. Jane Jacobos＆#39; and other peo-ple＇s thoughts on city and reflections on city planning are introduced. The author appeals that everything about city should be faced and understood with seriousness as city planning and urban design actually means planning people＇s life.
